RTS FOUNDATION APPOINTS ATLANTA PASTOR FOR PLANNED GIVING POSITION

(JACKSON, Miss.) February 17, 2011 — Reformed Theological Seminary has appointed Dr. Donald (Chuck) Frost to a new position as the Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Planned Giving. He will join the RTS Foundation team assisting RTS friends with estate and gift planning.

Dr. Frost has been the senior pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Ga., for 11 years. During 1999-2009 he led short term mission teams to Mexico, Turkey, Bulgaria and Belgium. He received a bachelor’s degree from Clemson, majoring in economics with a minor in math. He received both his master’s and doctorate degree from Reformed Theological Seminary and has previously pastored four other churches throughout Georgia, Mississippi and Florida.

His military service spans 31 years, serving as chaplain in several areas throughout Georgia and Mississippi. He retired as a colonel. His decorations include the Legion of Merit in 1999 and the Army Commendation Medal in ’82, ’87 and ’89. His office will be located on the RTS/Jackson campus.

Chancellor Ric Cannada agreed with Dr. Michael Milton, chancellor/CEO elect, as he remarked, "The RTS community is blessed, indeed, to welcome a seasoned and widely respected pastor like Dr. Chuck Frost. We believe that development is casting God's vision relationally. Then, God's people and God's resources follow God's vision. Chuck, as a pastor, church planter and retired Army Reserve chaplain is God's man for God's time. We rejoice to receive him and Lou April into this Gospel ministry that he knows so well."
